Its very technically proficient...

This is really really good bro. A mix of Veil of Maya, Born of Osiris and maybe a like After the Burial. The only thing I have to say negative is that the kick drum is too loud. The punchyness fits well with breakdowns but it totally overpowers the technical parts. But seriously dude, this is really good.

Deathcalypse responds:

Thanks for the input man! Glad you like it!

Something about this song...

... moved me. Maybe its just the progression or w/e but I felt this great sadness overwhelm me when i listened to this. This is some classic doom metal right here. Not really sludgy but I can almost hear a hint of Katatonia in there. Throw some Akerfeldt vocals in there and it might as well be. Screw their newer crap. Brave murder day all the way. But yeah dude. This is a masterpiece and I would be proud of it if I was you. Any music that can evoke some kind of extreme emotion is great music if you ask me.

Good riffage!

I like it bro. I use Drumkit from hell too on all my stuff. Its a fantastic program and I still haven't figured all the kinks out yet. What you need is some better mastering software though. That's my one gripe with this song. I guess it is just a test run though.

Epic

Very ominous feeling! Sounds like some faster paced funeral doom. And kinda Septic Fleshy. I would have liked to hear some technicality in the guitar but thats just a style preferance I guess. I hope your next submission is a bit longer.

Well, this was just a test of my guitar sample pack which I made for free.
It's just power chords, so that's why you don't hear any "shredding" but later I might make something with real guitar.

Thanx for review.

Good stuff bro.

I really dig the symphonic elements. Im big into the symphonic death genre and while this is not "death" metal, I would still call it metal. I dont know what the dude below me is talking about but I would like to hear more from ya :)

Hells yes...

I love me some good old school thrash. You got a perfect tone for this one too. Find someone to do some vocals for this bro! Now that would be wicked sweet!!

Great stuff dude

Really good progressions. I get a very Opeth like feeling when I listen to this. Eerie in a very peaceful way. I gotta get a bass guitar. This song makes me think thats what my mixes are missing.

ZombieZappa responds:

Ha, thanks. Opeth is in my top 3 favorite bands along with Porcupine Tree and Dream Theater! Some of the influences from this song came from mastodon; well at least the initial build of it was.

Yeah the bass made a world of difference, I dont know how I ever did it without it.

The is just...

Excellent. Although most post rock bores me, Explosions in the sky and God is an astronaut have drawn me quite deep into their music. The emotions in this piece are fantastic and I really get the feeling that terrible has just happened but its okay because we can just start over.

Not only is the music itself very good but the recording quality is good too. There is too much stuff here that gets high ratings even if the audio quality is extremely poor. Im excited to hear more from you dude.

Robot-Lock responds:

Thanks a bunch, mate. Be on the lookout for Megative.

Sinister stuff

I really liked it. Definitely a very bleak representation of sound. I understand that a lot of black metal bands favor a more raw recording and while I prefer a more refined recording, I think this one fits well. The only nitpick I have is with the intro. While the intro is very good, the transition from acoustic to distortion leave something to be desired. It seams like the intro is building up to something epic but when the distortion hits it feels a bit weak. I really enjoyed it though. I dont get the chance to hear stuff this sinister often enough in the ap.

Whew...

Cant believe I made it through that without dying. That was brutal. All that whammy reminds me a lot of The Faceless. Im astounded how fast Metaljonus shred.
