Stealth stuff.

First off, this is really good. You seem to have a knack for writing video game music. It makes me feel suspense and thrill but it seems like it's building up to something and never really gets to it. I believe what makes it feel this way is that the drums/percussion keep picking up. I would suggest adding maybe another theme that it evolves into. But honestly, this is pretty darn good just the way it is. Just thought I would throw in my 2 cents for whatever it's worth.

Keep making music.

ChaosDragon004 responds:

Thanks alot, I am greatful for the input and will try my best to apply to my future musical pieces. Thanks again bro.

Its got a dark texture.

This is some good stuff. I havent come across something like this in the classical section in a long time. Real cool atmosphere. My only gripe is the sudden ending.

5/5
10/10

BTW, this would fit excellent in Diablo 3 I think.

Baaaaahhhhh!

That dude below me doesnt know what the heck he is talking about. Not all music is supposed to sound radio friendly. I for one actually liked it. This is exactly what I am looking for in ambient music. Very good tunes going on in this and it does give the listener a wierd and almost creepy sensation. What it does need, if I may say so, is more variation and I think the instrument quality could be better. But I understand money is an issue when dealing with plugins and VSTs.

Pretty good preview!

I like it a lot. Very atmospheric and thought provoking. I would very much enjoy hearing the full composition when it is complete. I know how it is though. Sometimes I just can't finish a song in fear of ruining the piece or just cant figure out where to go with it. May I ask what software you used in this?

AshleyAlyse responds:

Thank you for your review! :) I'm very glad you like it. :) And YES! Finally someone who understands! ;) Hahaha. Yes, I do want to add to this piece. However, sometimes I just feel as I might degrade it in some way, haha. I use Reason. :)

Dang dude.

This is sick. Very unconventional and I like that. I definitely get a trip hop feeling and with a bit more of a song structure I think it could be better. Unless your going for a song without any structure which would be understandable. I really like it though. Your on to something here.

DoctahFunkenstein responds:

Yeah I agree .. this track could use some work on structure. Thank you for the feedback! Always appreciated :)

Duuuude...

I cant believe your stuff. It's great dude. This is the kind of metal I would listen to in my car. Even the metal arena lately has been stagnant with only a few good bands out there. Most of it is recycled trash, and that this is not. The last submission you did was Techdeath and that made my ears bleed so make more please. I gotta get my fix.

Oh man, words cannot describe.

This is unbelievable to hear on the AP. Well done bro. The atmosphere is tremendous and the playing is skillful. Guitars are epic and orchestration beautiful. Well done with the mastering. Reminds me of Devin Townsends Synchestra album and some of Vais stuff. You win.

DanJohansen responds:

THANKS, YOU WIN for writing such a great review man, preciate it

Whoa...

I wasn't expecting to hear a piece as epic as this. You did a good job. I think it would fit well as a movie score. The instruments sound genuine and the mastering is okay. I think it could be better in that area but it's not bad by any means. Honestly sometimes the sound comes off slightly as generic but for the most part I can feel passion in it. And when I feel passion in music that means it was a success. So good job on this. One last thing, the beginning 15 seconds was awesome. I knew I was gonna like it just by hearing the flute.

OrphenFire responds:

Thanks for the helpful review! I'm glad you took the time to listen to the whole piece. I will have more to come. There are 5 parts in total, all about 10 minutes each. Overture, Act 1, 2 &3 and Finale. I have finished Overture and Act 1 & 2. Act 2 will be uploaded soon. Don't hesitate to commentate on the other parts when you get the chance. :)

Amazing.

This is excellent. There isn't much else I can say. It definitely sends the listener into a realm of imagination. Its going into my favorites list. Great job.

Rampant responds:

Thanks for the fave :) I'm glad you like this track, and I'm glad it opens up your imagination.

Thanks for the review,
- James

Good beat...

This is pretty good. I wasn't expecting drums like that adnn I was pleasantly surprised. The piano is beautiful and I like the echo effect on it. My only negative comment on it is that it gets a little repetitive. Its easy for that to happen though I know. Get your hands on some other instruments and garnish this sound with them, adding a little more variety to the music. Good job all in all. I hope to hear more from you. Maybe do a collab or something sometime.
