Holy Hell...

Unbelievable. I hear some Born of Osiris influences at the 2:13 mark in the progression. I dont really know what I can say about the overall flow of the song. It sounds about as brutal as an elephant shitting on a baby. Which I've never seen by the way but I bet it would be br00tz.

I think it would be easier to judge with vocals added. As it stands right now I would listen to just the instrumental.

Metaljonus responds:

hahahaha I would'nt mind seeing a baby get shat on by an elephant. I want to go back and edit some more of the drums it's too meh to me. ANother day I suppose. Thanks for listening!

Excellent

You crafted the perfect sound to fit your story. The quality is really good as well. Great melody bro. Keep it up.

Sounds good

I second what 0r4nges said about the EQing and specifically the percussion. Sounds really good though. A nice relaxing melody with a good choice of sounds.

Not bad

Sounds like a good beginning to a good song. I'm still waiting for it to be finished ;p

Make it longer and Ill give ya a 10,

AshleyAlyse responds:

Thank you so much! I shall finish it! >:D ...Soon, hopefully. :)

Yes!!!

Dude.... this is sick. You did a wonderful job covering a wonderful Nevermore song. You are a wicked sick beast on that guitar and I'm really digging the vocal work as well. May I ask what your using as your sequencer?

LordAdon responds:

Thanks man! I used drums programmed in guitar pro 6, just exported them. the guitar tone was modeled with an eleven rack, i spend about an hour listening to loomis's guitar tone and trying to match it

Never heard of you before...

...and that makes me sad. This is some of the hottest stuff I've heard on the AP. Sounds to me like your going for a SYL sound. Believe me you, you pull it off. You have some extremely good vocals man. Musically this stuff is equally impressive. Everything about this is amazing. Nothing more to say.

Hell yeah \m/

Love this one. Its sufficiently brutal in my book. Keep em coming bro. I would suggest messing with the velocity of the snare to create a more realistic randomness to the hits. Just my 2 cents. Then again im listening on my mono speaker laptop so nothing really sounds that amazing lol. \m/

GoreBastard responds:

Cheers man! I'll dick around with the snare and see what I can do!
Thanks for listening, definately more shit on the way!

Bout time...

Ive been listening to Metaljonus for quite a while now so its about time a band was formed lol. All you guys are really good and it all comes together in a song like this. Seriously some brutal stuff. Sounds really pro as well. Did you guys independently record these songs?

AbsenceofFear responds:

Thanks dude! We recorded the drums at dead room studios here in san antonio and recorded the guitars/bass at my house and the vocals at my friends studio and then sent all of the tracks back to dead room to get them mixed and mastered.

Really great comp.

I agree with blazing dragon. He said everything I would say as well. But this is such a rarity to hear. There is still room for improvment though. Thats why I didnt give you a 10. Making it sound human is key to making it emotional and I think it's one of the hardest parts in composing music with samples.

Btw, the 6:00 mark = amazing.

Wonderful job and cant wait to hear the following parts.

Amazing \m/

Very awesome job bro, ever listen to Bloodbath? Reminds me a lot of them and considering they are in my top tier of great metal bands, thats a good thing. I would have given you a 10/10 since the song structure is so amazing but there is one thing missing... sound quality. My speakers rattle like you have too high of a level in your mix. Maybe you were going for this sound but idk. I think a little more mixing and mastering would do this song great justice. Not to mention a beefier guitar tone.

Great job dude, this is my kind of metal.

nolife1 responds:

I've never listened to bloodbath o.o but I will in a sec,
I understand that at the start It gets a little clipped, I accidentally did it as the headphones I was using at the time were not studio ones haha xD
I will most likely remaster it one day o.o
Thank you so much ^^ I'm so glad people like it =D
